the glove from Nana helps me pick things up better. yep, uh huh.
p.s. yogurt-covered raisins melt in eggs left in the 55 degree sun for less than 20 minutes. lesson learned.
 a larabar bush…sweet!
ah, nope, just a hunk a wood...
splitting loot…the blurriness is to hide the evidence
Don't you love the color of that grass?? Gotta love Indiana rain!
I love this. Our easter baskets are totally non-conventional…it's whatever basket (decor, pail or oh--yeah, one 'real' easter-looking basket). Then Ari & Rhett--what the heck are they wearing?? I guess the smiles are what matter most. I totally LOVE just watching the discovery and all the squeals along the way--especially when Jyson & Jaydon decided it was even more fun to throw stuff out of their baskets onto the ground so the littles could keep 'finding' more :) Heart happy.
Huh, what is this nasty ball? Ooh, little bits of paper, can I keep them Mommy?
That's a gob of hair alright
Hey, Mom, that's mine!
Just peek through the hair, then I can see when Mom's face is back to normal
The fun new me complete with super fun tongue for extra fun-ness!
The long hair part mommy said can't stay…she cut even MORE off, go figure…she gets to cut, but I can't?
My hair looks like this a lot these days

Sleepy cutie

This dude has been trying to transition into the no-nap thing, but then often right in the middle of dinner (5:30-6:00) he does this…and several times I've just put him right into bed & he sleeps until 6:30 or 7 the next day. Incredible!

The State Science Fair

Regionals: 2nd place & going to state!
After making it into the 5 contestants from his school Jyson went to regionals & was chosen to represent at state in Indianapolis. What an amazing experience for newbies like us! Jyson & I went down together & the best part (aside from seeing the jaw-dropping, totally cool other projects & spending time just the two of us :) was when we talked on the way home about all the things learned…and then to hear his brain cogs start churning as he started brainstorming for next year!

The Wizard of Oz: Jyson = Uncle Henry

Distracting the littles…Rhett was pretty affected by the Wicked Witch of the West & talked about her for days after...
 The big man on stage
 Walking out
And the after…nice work bud!!

The Taiga Biome: Research revealed in a whole nother light--"BOY style"

Jyson's conclusion of his 4 page paper:

"The wolves spring onto the huge moose and bring it crashing to the ground. The Bald Eagle swoops down on a current of air and grabs the timid and helpless mouse. The Red Fox pounces upon the vole, killing it instantly. Food is sparse, due to the extreme cold, and the endless torture of hunger has finally been satisfied. The Trees gaze down upon the scenes, silently preparing for the cold yet to come. The animals, plants and trees all live together in a deadly, but necessary communion.

"I feel like narrator Smurf!" quoth he...
